💳 How do I activate automatic payments on my Dog Chef account?
With automatic payments, you no longer need to manually pay for each order. This ensures your deliveries continue smoothly and without interruption ✨
🔄 Activating automatic payments
To activate automatic payments, you first need to add a payment method to your account.
Log in to your Dog Chef account.
Go to "My Data".
Click on "Payment Methods".
Add your credit or debit card.
Once your card has been added, you can activate automatic payments directly from this section.
🏦 I'm changing banks. How do I add a new payment method?
If you're changing banks, you can easily update your payment details:
Log in to your Dog Chef account.
Go to "My Data".
Click on "Payment Methods".
Add your new credit or debit card.
Once the new card has been added, you can reactivate automatic payments.
⚠️ If you're using a debit card, the first payment must be made manually. Automatic payments can then be activated from the second payment onwards.
✅ What are the benefits of automatic payments?
• No interruption to your dog's deliveries.
• No need to remember to pay each order manually.
• Your payment details are processed securely.
• Your subscription remains active automatically.
• You can modify or deactivate automatic payments at any time.
💳 Which payment methods are supported?
Automatic payments are available with:
• credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express);
• debit cards.
⚠️ For debit cards, a first manual payment is required before automatic payments can be activated.
❌ Automatic payments via PayPal are currently not available, as access to banking information is limited with this payment method.
⚠️ What happens if an automatic payment fails?
If a payment cannot be processed:
• you will receive an email informing you of the failed payment;
• a new payment attempt will automatically be scheduled;
• your delivery will be postponed by one week if the payment cannot be successfully processed, as unpaid orders cannot be confirmed;
• you can also complete the payment manually through your account.
To help avoid payment failures, we recommend regularly checking that:
• your payment details are up to date;
• your card has not expired;
• sufficient funds are available.
⏸️ Can I deactivate automatic payments?
Yes, you can deactivate automatic payments at any time.
Log in to your Dog Chef account.
Go to "My Data".
Click on "Payment Methods".
Disable the "Automatic Payment" option.
You can also:
• remove a payment method;
• select a different preferred payment method;
• reactivate automatic payments at a later time.
⚠️ If automatic payments are disabled, future orders must be paid manually to maintain your delivery schedule.
