If your dog has health issues, you can contact our Dog Chef veterinarians ([email protected]). They can guide you towards the most suitable recipes for your dog. Below, you'll find some information about our Dog Chef meals and common diseases.

If your dog has allergies, not only are our recipes gluten-free, but we also offer :

- For our fresh meals: two hypoallergenic recipes: the duck recipe and the fish recipe.

- For our kibbles: a hypoallergenic recipe: the duck recipe.

These recipes have been specially designed for dogs with food allergies. They are suitable for the majority of dogs with allergies to conventional protein sources. To know the composition of each of these recipes, you can click on the link of the respective recipe above.

Cancer :

- Fresh Dog Chef meals for your dog with cancer, Dog Chef recipes are perfect to give, as they are easy on the immune system. If your Dog has a very specific type of cancer, please feel free to contact our veterinarians to help you.

- Dog Chef kibbles: Our kibbles contain blueberry and turmeric which are known to have beneficial effects against cancer. They are gently cooked in order to retain as many nutrients as possible. Vegetables provide vitamins and antioxidants to boost the immune system. If your dog needs to eat a low carbohydrate diet, then our fresh meals are more suitable.

Epilepsy : your dog with epilepsy can eat our fresh Dog Chef meals and/or our Dog Chef kibbles without any problems.

Cushing : your dog with Cushing's disease can eat our fresh Dog Chef meals and/or our Dog Chef kibbleswithout any problems.

Hypothyroidism : your dog with a slow working thyroid can eat our fresh Dog Chef meals and/or our Dog Chef kibbles without any problems.

Heart :

- Fresh Dog Chef meals : your dog with heart problems can eat our recipes without any problems, they are supplemented with taurine. For dogs in an advanced stage of cardiac failure, our Pork and Beef fresh recipes are the most suitable because they contain the least Sodium.

- Dog Chef kibbles : your dog with heart problems can eat our kibbles without any problem; they are supplemented with taurine and carnitine, perfect for the heart muscle. Their salt content is low, so they can be given in almost all stages of heart failure. Only the advanced stages will need a completely salt-free diet

Diabetes:

Fresh Dog Chef Meals: Diabetic patients can have a normal weight, be very overweight, or too thin. Because they need a low glycemic load in their daily diet to stabilize their sugar levels, Dog Chef is suitable for some patients. Feel free to consult your treating veterinarian or contact us for more information, but most patients may require additional advice.

Dog Chef Kibble: Our duck kibble contains ingredients with a low glycemic index and may therefore be suitable for your diabetic dog. However, the reaction to kibble is individual, and you should closely monitor their blood sugar levels. We recommend consulting your treating veterinarian or contacting us for more information.

IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease):

Fresh Dog Chef meals: Many dogs with intestinal problems feel better when they eat fresh meals. Inflammatory bowel disease also has an immunological component, which is why we recommend the hypoallergenic fresh recipes with duck and fish. Some dogs benefit from a lot of fiber, while others can only tolerate a small amount of fiber, which is why a trial pack is definitely recommended. Dog Chef kibble: Our kibble may be suitable for dogs with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, provided they are not intolerant to chicken or duck. Pancreatitis:

Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI):

Dog Chef kibble: Dogs with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency have difficulty digesting fats because they do not produce enough enzymes. Our kibble is rather low in fat, but it may still be too much for some patients. One solution may be to add certain ingredients to the meal to make them less fatty. Stomach Issues:
