Most dogs adapt quickly to their new food, but some may need a little more time to get used to a new flavour or texture 😊

A few tips to help your dog get used to their new kibble

Try a different recipe. Some dogs simply have a clear preference for certain flavours.

Is your dog new to Dog Chef? Gradually mix the kibble with their current food to make the transition smoother.

Consider a different plan. If your dog isn't a fan of the kibble, you can switch to a Partial Plan with 50% fresh meals (half-board) or to a 100% Fresh Plan.

Has your dog only sniffed the kibble without tasting it? Try offering the kibble as a reward during a training session. Many dogs find kibble more appealing when they have to earn it 😉

Make the kibble more appealing. You can add a small amount of broth (preferably homemade) or mix it with a small portion of Dog Chef fresh meals.

A little patience often goes a long way. Most dogs get used to their new food after a short adjustment period.
